ITB BookAwards 2024 winners announced at Berlin event

ITB Berlin 2024, from 5-7 March, showcases global travel publications. The ITB BookAwards honor outstanding works in tourism literature.

The 2024 edition of ITB Berlin, slated for 5th to 7th March in Berlin, showcases a diverse array of publications in the travel and tourism sector. The event highlights books from Germany and around the world, primarily in German or translated into German. The ITB BookAwards 2024 applauds exemplary works in publishing, drawing attention to significant contributions in this genre across international borders. A panel comprising experts in science, media, publishing, and book retail, along with specialists in relevant countries, selected this year’s winners. The prominent “DestinationsAward” this year spotlights travel literature about Oman, the designated Host Country for ITB Berlin 2024. Additionally, the Alice category returns for its second year, celebrating top travel and adventure books geared towards younger readers, setting a new benchmark in this field.

In collaboration with Börsenverein Deutschen Buchhandels and the Frankfurt Book Fair, ITB Berlin is presenting the 2024 Guest of Honour, Italy. Notably, the ITB BookAwards does not include monetary rewards.

Mark your calendars for the ITB BookAwards ceremony, scheduled for Tuesday, 5th March at 6 p.m., to be held at the Green Stage in Hall 3.1b.
