Japan Airlines collects over $132,000 for Maui wildfire salvage works

With the help of a diversity of fundraising exercises together with mileage aids and collection boxes from clients and workers in Japan and all over the U.S. comprising Hawaii and the mainland, Japan Airlines collected more than $132,000 for backing assistance and salvage works for those impacted by the distressing Maui wildfires happening in August this year. On the 2 nd of this month, airline organized a check giveaway service to the Hawaii Community Foundation at the Hawaii State Capitol building.

Makoto Maezawa, the Senior Vice President of Japan Airlines for the Americas said that this aid is being
provided genuinely from their customers and workers who fervently reacted to the requirement for backing the communities in Maui. Maezawa said that backing one another signifies an act of kindness, and they have been justly enthused by the untiring works of numerous people taking part in the help and salvage processes.

Japan Airlines collected a total of $132,751.93, which consists of $71,428.57 from Japan Airlines and an
extra $61,323.36 from clients and workers. The reserve made will be going toward the Maui Strong
Fund of the Hawaii Community Foundation.
