Kuwait’s Jazeera Airways partners with Telco 1GLOBAL, launching the first MENA region travel eSIM, enhancing communication and customer loyalty.
Jazeera Airways, a budget airline based in Kuwait, has formed a groundbreaking partnership with London-based Telco 1GLOBAL, becoming the first carrier in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to introduce an exclusive travel eSIM service. This initiative allows Jazeera Airways’ customers to enjoy cost-effective communication, steering clear of hefty roaming charges during their journeys. The move is a strategic effort to enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction for Jazeera Airways, simultaneously generating additional income.
Embracing eSIM Technology
The collaboration involves incorporating 1GLOBAL’s consumer eSIM technology into the offerings of Jazeera Airways. Initially, this will involve the launch of a Jazeera-branded QR code and a web solution, eventually leading to an integrated feature within the Jazeera Airways mobile application. This white-label solution provides Jazeera the ability to deliver eSIM services while retaining its unique brand identity.
Andrew Ward, Vice President of Marketing & Customer Experience at Jazeera Airways, expressed excitement about the new service: “Offering 1GLOBAL’s services to our passengers is a step forward in our commitment to reducing travel costs. The 1GLOBAL eSIM is an excellent solution for our customers, offering affordable call rates throughout the Jazeera network.”
Advantages for Travelers and the Airline
To promote this roaming solution, various communication channels will be used, including social media, in-flight magazines, email confirmations, and promotional materials at airport terminals. This partnership is beneficial for both Jazeera Airways and its passengers. With the activation of the 1GLOBAL roaming eSIM, travelers can connect more affordably compared to standard roaming plans. They also gain access to high-quality 5G and 4G networks in most countries, with a variety of flexible tariff plans. For Jazeera Airways, offering this additional service is expected to bolster customer loyalty and set the airline apart from its competitors through innovative services. This initiative is not only a differentiator for Jazeera Airways but also a potential source for increasing ancillary revenue streams.
