Jazeera Airways, the Kuwait-based low-cost carrier, recently organized an event in Mumbai to officially introduce its new social media platforms for the Indian market. Andrew Ward, Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience at Jazeera Airways, emphasized the pivotal role of social media and partnerships with influencers in their marketing strategy. Ward highlighted the success of recent influencer trips to Turkey and Kuwait and the collaboration with individual influencers for various destinations.

During the event, Andrew Ward announced the launch of Jazeera India Facebook and Jazeera India Instagram, expressing the airline’s commitment to engaging with influencers, customers, and trade partners through locally relevant content on these platforms.

Romana Parvi, Regional Manager-South Asia at Jazeera Airways, expressed gratitude to loyal travel trade agents for their integral role in Jazeera’s journey. She anticipated continued support from them in the future, emphasizing the airline’s vision of expanding to new destinations and initiating operations from additional Indian gateways.

Romana underscored Jazeera Airways’ dedication to providing an affordable and convenient travel experience without compromising safety and comfort. She assured passengers that the airline would maintain high standards in 2024.

Jazeera Airways currently connects India to a comprehensive global network, serving 64 popular destinations across the Middle East, Central and South Asia, Africa, and Europe, catering to diverse travel needs.

In terms of expansion, the airline recently welcomed two additional aircraft, bringing its fleet to 22. Jazeera also prioritized sustainability, becoming the first Middle East low-cost carrier to adopt eco-friendly in-flight food service ware, reducing plastic usage by 300 kilograms monthly. Additionally, the airline partnered with Expliseat to install 2,000 ultra-lightweight seats across its Airbus fleet, contributing to a significant weight saving of 1.2 metric tons per aircraft.

While the outlook for 2023 remains positive with steady travel demand, Jazeera Airways acknowledges challenges such as overcapacity impacting yields and margins. Despite this, the airline aims for growth in new destinations, focusing on countries like Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Eastern Europe.

Jazeera Airways received recent accolades, including a listing in Fortune 500 Arabia, recognition as one of the Best Workplaces in Asia 2023 by Great Place to Work, and an ICT Leadership Award for digital transformation
