Avelo expands from Tweed-New Haven to 4 new destinations: Atlanta, Charlotte, Knoxville, Destin. Starts May ’24, fares from $62.

Avelo Airlines has just announced that it will begin offering direct flights from Tweed-New Haven Airport in Southern Connecticut to four exciting new destinations: Atlanta (Georgia), Charlotte (North Carolina), Knoxville (Tennessee), and Destin (Florida). This expansion means Avelo will provide direct flights to a total of 21 destinations from Tweed, which is more than any other airline in Connecticut.

Avelo stands out as the sole airline to provide nonstop flights from Southern Connecticut to these four sought-after destinations. It is also the only airline to offer direct flights from Connecticut to Knoxville and Destin, and it’s the only budget-friendly option for flights to Atlanta and Charlotte.

Starting in May 2024, these new services will be operated using Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft. Prices for one-way tickets start at just $62. Those interested can book their flights through AveloAir.com.

Here’s a closer look at the schedule and pricing for each new destination:

Avelo Airlines Chairman and CEO Andrew Levy said, “We are excited to offer Southern Connecticut residents even more travel options with the addition of Atlanta, Charlotte, Knoxville and Destin. Whether visiting friends and family or enjoying a leisurely vacation, Avelo offers time and money-saving convenience for Connecticut travelers. With 21 nonstop destinations, including eight Florida cities, flying from Tweed is easier and more affordable than ever. Additionally, when you consider our industry-leading reliability and caring Soul of Service, it is clear why almost 2 million people have flown Avelo at Tweed since 2021.”

Avports LLC. CEO Jorge Roberts said, “We are excited that Avelo Airlines continues to expand flights connecting the people and communities of Southern Connecticut to new destinations across the country. These new routes from Avelo mark a significant milestone in Tweed-New Haven Airport’s ongoing efforts to provide more convenient, affordable, and efficient travel options. We look forward to our continued partnership with Avelo in support of their work to give passengers increased connectivity and top-notch customer service.”

Chairman of Tweed-New Haven Regional Airport Authority Matt Hoey said, “The TNHAA Board is thrilled that Avelo Airlines will soon launch four pivotal new routes from Tweed Airport. This not only enhances the offerings of Tweed Airport for Southern Connecticut flyers, but it also drives economic development for our entire region. By providing direct, cost-effective flights to desirable destinations, we’re making New Haven a gateway for both leisure and business travelers.”
