Disney Cruise Line has announced new family and dining experiences for Disney Believe, which will start cruises from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in December 2027. The new Wish-class cruise ship will launch short Caribbean and Bahamas getaways with a stage show based on Encanto, a new Frozen-inspired dining venue, a Zootopia entertainment centre and a Moana-themed Grand Hall. The additions are designed to provide family themed options in addition to Disney’s cruise programming out of South Florida.

Disney Believe to Expand Caribbean and Bahamas Cruises from Fort Lauderdale

Disney Believe will join the company’s growing fleet with itineraries designed around shorter holidays in the Caribbean and the Bahamas. The ship will operate from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, giving travellers another departure option in South Florida.

Its arrival in December 2027 will strengthen Disney Cruise Line’s presence in a region that attracts families seeking warm-weather cruises, island excursions and entertainment at sea.

As a Wish-class vessel, Disney Believe will combine familiar Disney cruise concepts with entertainment and dining experiences created specifically for the ship.

The programme will place Disney storytelling at the centre of the onboard experience. Families can expect theatrical performances, interactive activities, character encounters and themed restaurants throughout their holiday.

The Fort Lauderdale departure point also provides access to South Florida’s established tourism infrastructure, including hotels, airports and transport connections.

For travellers planning a short cruise, the new ship could offer an alternative to longer Caribbean itineraries without sacrificing Disney’s signature entertainment.

Encanto, Tangled and Disney Characters Headline New Theatre Productions

A Disney Encanto stage adaptation on the Walt Disney Theatre will bring the new Disney animated film to life for a shipboard audience.

The production will be based on the characters, music and vibrant cultural setting of the film. It will be one of the entertainment highlights on board.

Disney Believe will include Tangled: The Musical, a show that is currently running on Disney Magic. The new ship will feature new scenery and special effects to add a different angle to the production.

A third returning show, Disney Seas the Adventure, will feature Disney and Pixar characters and music.

They’ll provide your passengers with a number of entertainment options during their trip. It’s a way to offer children the storylines they love without requiring them to buy multiple tickets to regular theater shows on land.

This entertainment program also demonstrates how Disney converts their successful films into live entertainment in such a way that children and adults can enjoy them.

Moana-Inspired Grand Hall Brings Pacific Island Adventure Onboard

The ship’s central Grand Hall will celebrate Moana, with ocean-inspired architectural details and decorative influences from the Pacific Islands.

A bronze sculpture of Moana, alongside Pua and Heihei, will form the centrepiece of the space.

The Grand Hall will function as a gathering point for passengers and provide a setting for character experiences and onboard activities.

Disney will also introduce Gazelle, a Zootopia-themed entertainment venue that changes its programme throughout the day.

Families can participate in games, trivia and character encounters. During the evening, the venue will welcome adults for silent discos and variety entertainment.

Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde will also appear in a new interactive family production involving a mystery-solving adventure.

Frozen Restaurant and Marvel Dining Expand Family Food Experiences

Dining will remain a major part of the Disney Believe experience, with three themed restaurants forming the ship’s rotational dining programme.

Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast will bring the world of Arendelle to passengers through a family dining experience featuring Oaken, Anna and Kristoff.

The ship will also feature 1923, a restaurant celebrating Disney’s animation heritage, alongside Worlds of Marvel, which draws inspiration from Marvel superheroes.

Rotational dining allows passengers to experience different restaurants during their cruise while retaining a familiar serving team.

Additional food and beverage venues will include Café Kakamora, inspired by Moana, and Big Hero Sips, which takes design cues from Big Hero 6.

The ship will also introduce Inside Out: Joyful Sweets, offering more than 20 flavours of gelato and ice cream alongside themed desserts.

These additions will give families more dining choices beyond the main restaurants.

Disney Believe Adds Cinemas, Interactive Activities and Returning Favourites

Disney Believe will be more than entertainment in our theaters and restaurants.

Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm films will be shown at the Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas free of any additional admission charge.

Additionally, guests can look forward to returning experiences like Hero Zone, Disney Uncharted Adventure and Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party.

Activities that are suitable for families that like board games, watching a film or having themed days will also be offered.
