Kanniyakumari to transform into Cape Town of India with 300 Mil investment

Casagrand Contracts & Our SHINE GOGLOBAL Ltd join hands to transform Kanniyakumari into a top sustainable tourism hub with Project MAN.

In a move to elevate Kanniyakumari from a seasonal coastal destination to a globally recognized hub of conscious tourism, Casagrand Contracts Pvt Ltd (CGCPL) – the EPC arm of the Casagrand Group – and Singapore’s Our SHINE GOGLOBAL Ltd have initiated a landmark collaboration. This ambitious undertaking, named Project MAN, aims to reshape the region’s tourism landscape into a model for sustainable and global development, catering to both domestic and international visitors and positioning Kanniyakumari as the Indian equivalent of Cape Town.

This partnership marks the entry of Casagrand Contracts and Our SHINE GOGLOBAL Ltd into the Kanniyakumari region, with plans to secure at least 40 acres for the project’s initial phase. With a projected investment of USD 300 million, Project MAN aspires to establish a dynamic and eco-friendly tourism community in Kanniyakumari, incorporating elements of wellness tourism and a convention center, aimed at enriching the region’s appeal as a tourism hotspot and generating significant economic benefits.

The first phase of Project MAN includes the development of a 1000-seat Convention Centre featuring cutting-edge facilities, alongside a large Mall housing 100 stores and a theater, thus providing a diverse and engaging entertainment experience. The project will also establish an SME Acceleration Center to support the growth of small and medium enterprises across India from Kanniyakumari. Additionally, professional and hospitality training programs are planned to enhance local skill development. A 50-room resort/hotel is also part of this stage, offering luxurious yet affordable accommodation. Embracing technological advancements, Project MAN will incorporate Metaverse features like online malls and games, with more details to be announced.

As the Turnkey Project Partner, Casagrand Contracts Pvt, Ltd. is entrusted with the meticulous execution of these components in Project MAN’s initial stage. This multifaceted initiative is designed to foster a vibrant and sustainable tourism ecosystem aligned with the ethos of Conscious Tourism.
