Kentucky State Fair kicks off offering diverse attractions

The highly anticipated Kentucky State Fair has launched, promising eleven days of summertime delight from August 17th to 27th. Drawing attendees from all corners of the Commonwealth, the fair offers a diverse array of attractions sure to captivate visitors of all ages. The event showcases facets of farm life, delectable fried treats, live entertainment, and a showcase of the finest contributions Kentuckians have to offer.

    A vibrant tapestry of over 400 vendors, presenting an array of food and wares. Culinary delights range from the innovative BBQ Sundae, Flamin’ Hot Cheeto Corndog, and creatively adorned Pizza options, to whimsical Barbie Funnel Cake and Peach Crisp Sundae. Notably, the recently crafted Pepsi Bluegrass Breeze drink will also make its debut.

    The 120th World’s Championship Horse Show, beginning on August 19th, where 2,000 American Saddlebreds will vie for $1.5 million in awards and prizes.

    A schedule of 75+ daily events, encompassing crowd-pleasers like Miller’s Border Collies, Jason D’Vaude – The Circus Man, The Ice Cream Show, and Cirque Zuma Zuma.

    Engaging animal competitions, spanning dairy cattle, rabbits, pigeons, and poultry, with the initial weekend dedicated to these captivating showcases.

    Indoor exhibits, ranging from the dynamic Pride of the Counties to the family-friendly Rescue Ridge in South Wing, offering health screenings and engaging children’s activities.

    A Concert Series boasting an eclectic lineup encompassing country, rock, R&B, oldies, and Christian performances.

    Thrill Ville, a haven of exhilarating rides and family-friendly attractions, introduces new rides and enhanced amenities for this year’s fairgoers.

The Kentucky State Fair operates from 10 a.m. daily throughout the event’s tenure, spanning August 17th to 27th, 2023. Attendees can anticipate a kaleidoscope of experiences, promising entertainment, indulgence, and excitement for all who attend.
