Kenya Airways expands routes with more flights and new destinations

Kenya Airways (KQ) has announced today its strategy to enhance its expanding network by adding Eldoret and Maputo to its destinations list, alongside increasing frequencies to five other key cities.

Julius Thairu, Chief Commercial and Customer Officer says, “In response to the steady recovery and demand for air travel, we have expanded our operations with increased frequencies to five destinations within our network expanded our Africa network to Eldoret, Kenya and Maputo, Mozambique. Our focus for FY2024 will be to continue with strategic and targeted growth to meet growing demand as the airline targets bottom line revenue growth. The network expansion is reflective of our mission of propelling Africa’s growth by connecting its people cultures and markets.”

New Routes:

Commencing March 25th, 2024: KQ will initiate five weekly flights from its Nairobi hub to Eldoret, Kenya. You can catch flights to Eldoret on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Starting June 14th, 2024: KQ will operate thrice-weekly flights from Nairobi to Maputo, Mozambique, providing travelers with connections on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Increased Frequencies:

New York, USA: Effective June 15th, 2024, KQ will elevate its New York service by adding two extra weekly flights, enhancing flexibility for passengers with Thursday and Saturday flights.

Paris, France: Beginning July 5th, 2024, KQ will bolster its Paris service with two additional weekly flights, scheduled for Fridays and Sundays, to accommodate the heightened demand expected during the Olympics.

Accra, Ghana & Freetown, Sierra Leone: From June 2nd, 2024, Kenya Airways will enhance capacity to Accra and Freetown by deploying the B787-8 aircraft, offering passengers more comfortable and convenient travel options.

Lagos, Nigeria: Kenya Airways will expand its Lagos service by adding three more flights. Starting April 1st, 2024, passengers can benefit from an additional weekly flight on Saturdays, followed by two more flights from June 3rd, 2024, operating on Mondays and Thursdays.
