Layover Guys quick trip to Carrickfergus

The Layover Guys, a group of friends who work to create short trips worldwide so they can curtail the amount of time away from work and family, on December had visited Carrickfergus to join a Carrick Rangers FC match and meet face-to-face with some of the fans and team leaders. 

With an organization named Fan Owned Club, the Layover Guys team is investors over there and with the help of that, they have a small ownership stake with FC Pinzgau Saalfelden, an Austrian soccer team. When it was declared that Fan Owned Club was going to team up with Carrick Rangers, the Northern Irish team, and its new owner, Michael Smith, they arranged an immediate visit to see the match.

In American Airlines they flew to Dublin. On Friday, it was a very short flight from Philadelphia. The schedule was tight. But the schedules of American Airlines and Dublin Express bus lines were on time for the entire trip. 

After entering a hotel located close to the Dublin Airport, they went to the Belfast via Dublin Express bus. There they met up with new friends in Carrickfergus. They also cheered on the Rangers for the December 2nd match against Loughgall and returned home.
