NYC unveils Off-Broadway Week with 2-for-1 tickets to 31 shows, Feb 12-Mar 3, 2024. A cultural feast, boosting NYC’s vibrant theater scene & economy.

Today, the official marketing and promotional agency for New York City, alongside the city’s visitor center, unveiled the latest installment of the NYC Off-Broadway Week, sponsored by Mastercard. This event offers a two-for-one ticket deal for 31 distinct Off-Broadway productions, accessible via the website nyctourism.com/offbroadwayweek. This semi-annual celebration, showcasing over a dozen premiere performances, is scheduled from February 12 to March 3, 2024.

“This season’s Off-Broadway Week features 17 new productions, showcasing some of the City’s most innovative theaters at an incredible value,” said New York City Tourism + Conventions President and CEO Fred Dixon. “The Off-Broadway League has been our program partner for 16 years running; their support allows us to deliver a rich experience for audiences and has created opportunities for hundreds of productions over those years.”

The Winter 2024 edition of NYC Off-Broadway Week will feature a diverse lineup of shows, including:

“We are proud to have over 30 Off-Broadway productions take part in this year’s NYC Off-Broadway Week program,” said Casey York, President of The Off-Broadway League. “For over a decade, this biannual program has allowed our productions to continue to showcase the intimate setting and diversity that is inherent to the Off-Broadway community, captivating both New Yorkers and visitors alike.”

Attendees can filter the participating Off-Broadway shows based on categories such as genre, audience suitability, borough, and neighborhood, ensuring a personalized theater-going experience.

The initiative has received backing from the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, highlighting its significance in New York City’s cultural landscape. Since its inception in 2009, NYC Off-Broadway Week has seen participation from over 800 productions, generating close to $5 million from ticket sales and selling over 120,000 tickets. The city witnessed a significant tourism rebound in 2023, with 61.8 million visitors, achieving 93% of the pre-pandemic visitation records set in 2019, further underscoring the event’s role in New York City’s ongoing economic revival.
