The team boasts Alexandra Manly, a former local of South Australia and previous stage victor, known for her striking sprint finish in Uraidla last January and wearing the Santos Ochre Leader’s Jersey for a day in the 2023 race.

Ella Wyllie, a 21-year-old from New Zealand, is set to make her WorldTour debut with Liv AlUla Jayco after securing a second-place finish in the Young Riders classification at both the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift and the Santos Tour Down Under in 2023.

Ruby Roseman-Gannon, who achieved fourth overall in the 2023 Santos Tour Down Under and was the champion of the Santos Festival of Cycling in 2022, rejoins the team following her recent contract renewal, bolstered by her strong European performances.

The team also includes Georgia Baker, a triple gold medallist at the Commonwealth Games, time trial expert Georgie Howe, and National Criterium Champion Amber Pate.

Stuart O’Grady OAM, Race Director for the Santos Tour Down Under, expressed his excitement over the diverse skill set of these professional cyclists participating in the event. He highlighted Manly’s previous victory as a notable moment, anticipating her and her teammates’ return in a month.

Alex Manly shared her enthusiasm for racing in her home country, recalling her stage win and time in the ochre jersey as career highlights. She looks forward to competing again with her teammates.

Megan Chard, the Sport Director for Liv AlUla Jayco, emphasized the significance of the Santos Tour Down Under for the team. She spoke of the team’s preparation and focus on team culture, aiming for a strong start to the season with a well-balanced lineup of five Australians and a New Zealander. The team is preparing rigorously, hoping to showcase their talent and achieve more victories in Adelaide.

The Santos Tour Down Under, set to occur in Adelaide and regional South Australia, will feature nine days of elite men’s and women’s racing from January 12-21, 2024.
