London QEII Centre shines with stellar performance!

London QEII Centre, a renowned conference, events, meetings, and exhibition venue, has announced a remarkable year of business recovery and stability. This marks the third-best trading performance for the centre since its opening in 1986.

According to the latest report and accounts, The QEII Centre generated total revenues of £14.95 million for the 2022-23 period, which is equivalent to 94% of its best trading year in 2019/20 (£15.94 million).

The centre has consistently exceeded expectations in terms of inquiries and bookings, and the year-end forecast for 2023-24 looks even more promising, with an expected turnover of approximately £16.5 million.

Situated opposite Westminster Abbey, this leading London venue has also secured several long-term bookings, including multi-year agreements extending as far as November 2029.

In 2023, The QEII Centre hosted over 320 high-profile events, including prestigious international gatherings such as the Norwegian Developers Conference, Alan Turing Institute AI UK, Qcon, Isokinetic: Football Medicine the Pursuit of Excellence conference, T2RL Engage, and the IAEA Fusion Energy Conference.

Mark Taylor, Chief Executive of The QEII Centre, expressed his satisfaction with these impressive trading figures, emphasizing that they place the centre in a strong position for the future and reflect the overall health of the meetings and events sector. He highlighted the center’s resilience in the post-Covid recovery and its favorable outlook for 2024. Taylor also extended his gratitude to the dedicated team responsible for driving business recovery and growth.

Looking ahead, The QEII Centre plans to continue investing in its staff, enhancing technological competitiveness and sustainability efforts, and exploring new opportunities to boost commercial revenues.

Since its establishment in 1986, The QEII Centre has been a flexible seven-story venue hosting a diverse range of meetings and events, including major international government conferences, conventions, exhibitions, corporate gatherings, association events, dinners, AGMs, award ceremonies, and graduations. Situated across from the World Heritage Site of Westminster Abbey, The QEII Centre remains one of London and the UK’s premier conference and events facilities.
