Marriott International, Inc., has unveiled its strategy to bolster its presence in Poland, aiming to introduce more than 10 new properties over the next few years. This expansion will mark the debut of two distinct brands – Le Méridien and Element Hotels by Westin – in the Polish market. These forthcoming openings will significantly enrich the company’s existing footprint in the country, which currently encompasses 24 properties and boasts over 4,500 rooms spanning 12 brands and eight cities, including Warsaw, Sopot, Krakow, Poznan, Katowice, Wroclaw, Gdynia, and Szczecin. This strategic expansion aligns with Marriott’s overarching goal of enhancing its luxury, premium, and select service offerings across prominent leisure and business hubs in Eastern Europe.

Jerome Briet, Chief Development Officer, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Marriott International commented, “Marriott International remains focused on growing and diversifying its brand portfolio and experiences in Poland to meet the strong demand for travel throughout the country. With our captivating portfolio of brands, world-class distribution platform and Marriott Bonvoy, our award-wining travel program, we continue to drive robust growth opportunities with owners and franchisees in the market.”

Marriott is witnessing robust growth for its premium brands in Poland. The company is poised to introduce Le Méridien’s European heritage and stylish offerings to the country with the expected debut of Le Méridien Krakow Royal in 2025. Furthermore, Marriott plans to amplify the presence of its Collection brands by opening a Tribute Portfolio hotel in Warsaw and an Autograph Collection hotel in Wroclaw. Additionally, a second Renaissance hotel is in the works, slated to open in Gdansk Old City.

Marriott’s select service brands are also driving significant growth in the Polish market. Element by Westin is set to make its country debut with the opening of Element by Westin Wroclaw this spring, catering to the demand for extended-stay accommodations. Four Points by Sheraton is expanding its portfolio with projected openings in Poznan and Wroclaw in 2025. Meanwhile, the vibrant Moxy Hotels brand is gearing up to launch its fifth property in central Warsaw next year.

Moreover, Marriott is gearing up to expand its luxury portfolio in Poland by adding its second Luxury Collection property, H15 Luxury Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, situated within the historic Lubomirski Palace in Krakow.

Briet added, “We are seeing significant growth in the market through conversion opportunities, which further highlights the trust owners have in Marriott International and the reputation of our world-class brands. More than half of our development pipeline in Poland features conversion and adaptive re-use projects.”

In Poland, Marriott boasts a diverse portfolio comprising 12 distinct brands, catering to various traveler demographics and preferences. These brands span across different segments, providing tailored experiences for guests. The lineup includes: The Luxury Collection, representing the pinnacle of luxury; Marriott Hotels, Sheraton, Renaissance Hotels, Autograph Collection, Tribute Portfolio, and Westin, offering premium accommodations; as well as Courtyard by Marriott, Four Points by Sheraton, Moxy Hotels, and AC Hotels by Marriott, providing select service options.
