Mauritania Airlines; that is an Nouakchott based Airline having its inception since 2010, perched in a place abounding with iron and ore. From Senegal to Tunisia and others, Mauritania finally launches new flights to Medina. This comes as good news after Eid celebrations.

The place regarded as the cradle of Islamic ethos receives flocks of tourists and travellers all year-round.

This comes as a strategic development to effectuate and consequently amplify the strong air ties between Mauritania and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia’s aviation industry is important for the regulation of the civil aviation sector, so that air traffic control functions in a seamless way.

The GACA or as it is popularly known, the General Authority of Civil Aviation, has provided the heads up for regulating flight services to Medina from Apr 21, 2024

An update regarding the flight services was shared by the GACA on social media post-Eid celebrations.

Two weekly flights will be the starting frequency for the regular services for the same.

This move is in line with the National Aviation Strategy of Saudi Arabia, which aims to bring in 330 million passengers a year by 2030.
