We invite journalists, photographers, videographers, and bloggers representing esteemed national, regional, or international media outlets, including newspapers, magazines, wire services, radio, television stations, and online publications, to apply for media accreditation to this year’s festival. Travel writers, stringers, and freelancers are also welcome to apply.

To apply for accreditation, please visit the Press Accreditation page on the MTN Bushfire website. Media applicants will need to complete an application form provided by the Ministry of Information, Communications, and Technology before accreditation can be granted.

The deadline for Media Accreditation applications is Friday, May 17th, 2024.

MTN Bushfire, dubbed the “Top African festival” by the BBC and recognized by CNN as one of the “7 African music festivals you really have to see,” eagerly anticipates igniting the festival spirit once again in the picturesque farmlands of the Malkerns Valley, Eswatini. This family-friendly event promises an eclectic celebration featuring some of the finest music from Africa and beyond.

Renowned for its international lineup and commitment to innovative, environmentally sustainable, and socially inclusive programming, MTN Bushfire has become a prominent media attraction, drawing journalists and media practitioners from across the globe.

Accredited media will be granted access to attend press conferences, conduct interviews with artists upon request, and enjoy prime access to the front of the stage for photography and videography purposes. The designated Media Centre, equipped with power and wireless internet, serves as the festival’s media hub for information and interviews, and journalists are encouraged to utilize its facilities.

Please note that media accreditation does not cover travel or accommodation expenses unless arrangements have been made in advance with MTN Bushfire. Journalists are advised to secure accommodation promptly, as nearby lodgings tend to fill up quickly. Accredited journalists may also wish to consider purchasing camping passes for their convenience.
