Medical tourism in Nigeria under disturbance

With disturbing progresses in the health segment of Nigeria, members of the Nigerian Association of
Resident Doctors have asserted regarding beginning a cautionary strike on Wednesday, in spite of discussions with the federal government and their parent organization, which is the Nigerian Medical Association.

This is at the heart of other threats disturbing the segment such as medical tourism. As per latest
reports, Nigerians spent approximately 3 billion dollars concerning overseas healthcare-related facilities from 2020 and 2022.
