Mizoram Winter Festival 2023 begins

The six-day Mizoram Winter Festival 2023 begins and will take place daily from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The concert will happen from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Mizoram Tourism Minister Pi Lalrinpuii today inaugurated the six-day Winter Festival 2023 Cum Mega Exhibition at AR Ground, Aizawl.

The Chief Guest said that the festival is a good opportunity to showcase the state’s handicrafts and craftsmanship.

Tourism is an industry and a good source of income. However, Mizoram has only 0.01% of the tourists visiting North East India, she said.

Training on the tourism industry will be conducted so that youths can have successful employment with the new government, she said.

Cheraw, Hlado, Chheih Zai, the choir, band, and solo perform in the Winter Festival 2023 Cum Mega Exhibition opening ceremony.

There were 100 stalls, including a food court at the venue. Various items and Mizo handicrafts are on exhibition for the public to buy.
