A recent plane crash in Afghanistan’s Badakhshan province involved a Morocco-registered small aircraft, initially departing from India and heading towards Moscow with a stopover in Uzbekistan. This incident was reported by Reuters on Sunday, revealing that the plane, a Dassault Falcon 10 jet produced in 1978, is thought to have at least six individuals on board.

Russian aviation officials have identified the aircraft as a charter ambulance flight, which was navigating its route from India, through Uzbekistan, and on to Moscow.

The Indian Civil Aviation Ministry has issued a statement clarifying that the crashed aircraft was not classified as an “Indian Scheduled Aircraft” or a “Non Scheduled (NSOP)/Charter aircraft”.

The crash occurred in a remote and mountainous area within the northern region of Badakhshan in Afghanistan. Details about the crash’s cause or the exact number of casualties are still pending, as local police continue their investigation, according to Reuters’ Sunday report.
