The lush green tea gardens and the mist covered hills of Munnarare great attractions in winter. The temperature in Chenduvarai, Chittuvarai and Kundala tea estates dipped below 5 degree Celsius and it was 10 degree Celsius in Munnar town recently. Usually, the winter season in Munnar is from October to February.

In December and January, temperature is below zero degrees. However, this year, due to heavy rains, winter arrived a little late. Hospitality and tourism sector employees said that bookings have gone up from many places including North India.

Tourists in Munnar can also explore the place in bicycles. KSRTC sightseeing, camping and hostel facilitiesare also available in Munnar.
