Recently, Myanmar has declared its new rules for applications of tourist visa. According to the new terms and conditions, people applying for a Myanmar visa will have to provide a complete vaccination certificate, accompanied by a current color photo taken within last three months, and a passport effective for six months from the time of application of visa.

If anyone is traveling with children below seven years of age, and they are on the same passport, they would need to put extra info like the name of the child along with their date of birth on the children section of the visa application form.

As of now, people with tourist visas are permitted to enter Myanmar through Yangon International Airport. For entering Myanmar, visitors need to present the above-mentioned documents and obey all the laws in Myanmar.

As per the new visa rules and procedures, a tourist visa is permissible for a single entrance. If there is any need to re-enter Myanmar, a visitor will need a new visa. The tourist visa permits a maximum stopover of 28 days from the date of entry.

Myanmar restarted its services of commercial flights in April after two years of hiatus in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

If anyone is considering visiting Myanmar, the best time to do so are the months of October and May, since this is the time when there is no monsoon in Myanmar. Myanmar experiences a very long monsoon season and it can get sizzling and humid. Hence, traveling during the drier months is advised.
