New partnership between Kenya Airways and Air Europa enhances connectivity to Europe and the U.S

Kenya Airways, the national airline of Kenya, has entered into a codeshare partnership with Spain’s third-largest airline, Air Europa, enhancing its network in Europe and the United States. This collaboration enables passengers of Air Europa to travel to Nairobi via Amsterdam, while Kenya Airways’ customers can now reach Madrid, Palma de Mallorca, New York, and Miami more conveniently.

The partnership broadens travel possibilities for customers by offering advantages such as single-ticket purchases, one-time check-in, and seamless connections with reduced wait times. Under this agreement, Kenya Airways will apply its flight codes to four Air Europa routes: Amsterdam to Madrid, Madrid to Palma de Mallorca, and from Madrid to both New York and Miami. Conversely, Air Europa will use its code on the Kenya Airways route from Amsterdam to Nairobi.

Air Europa has been our partner under the SkyTeam Alliance, and this agreement allows us to collaborate more for the mutual benefit of our guests giving them more access and connectivity.” Said Martin Gitonga, Kenya Airways Head of Network Planning and Alliances.  

The partnership signifies an expansion of Kenya Airways’ strategy to grow its network, a plan that saw rejuvenation in 2022.
