The museum is going to be dedicated to the history, and culture of the LGBTQ+.

The idea to get set the museum in New York stems from the fact that New York has the most number of LGBTQ+ people in the USA. Moreover, it is one of the top destinations for American LGBTQ+ travellers.

The museum is certainly going to have exhibits and collections, besides also collaborating with LGBTQ+ centres and organisations. The museum will also work closely with colleges, and universities for research programmes.
