The Executive Director of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board, Amr El-Qadi, said that a new campaign on tourism promotion will be introduced in November, targeted to represent Egypt as a lively place with varied tourism products.
He also mentioned that this campaign will aim on Egypt’s prime tourist export markets and other new markets, making use of advertising materials, websites and social media platforms. Also, the campaign features the launch of innumerable events inside and outside the country. The advertising materials will be print, audio, visual, and electronic via television, websites, press, road advertisements, and other means.
The remarks of El-Qadi came at a time of a meeting between the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Issa, and the Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs, Soha El-Gendy.
The meeting is focused to talk about ways to improve joint cooperation between the two ministries to encourage the tourism of Egypt among Egyptians abroad and to throw light on the opportunities of tourism investment available in Egypt, besides reviving Roots tourism to connect the second and third generation of Egyptians settled in foreign countries with their country Egypt and give them confidence to visit the tourist and archaeological attractions and introduce them to their country’s civilization and develop their sense of belonging and make them feel proud of their country and its ancient civilization.
Issa also reviewed the most prominent axes of the Egyptian national tourism strategy, which aims to increase the number of incoming tourism to Egyptian tourist destinations.
