Noida International Airport partners with Akasa Air, boosting regional air travel with plans for expanded services and capacity growth.

Today marked a significant milestone for Noida International Airport as it forged a vital partnership with Akasa Air, setting the stage for mutual development. Akasa Air is set to station its fleet at the airport, launching both national and international services to meet the escalating demand for air travel in the vicinity.

The recent period has seen a notable increase in air passengers within India, a trend that is expected to continue ascending in the coming years. Both Noida International Airport and Akasa Air are dedicated to nurturing this upward trajectory by enhancing aerial connections from the Delhi National Capital Region and Western Uttar Pradesh, connecting them more seamlessly with the rest of India and the globe.

Mr. Christoph Schnellmann, Chief Executive Officer, Noida International Airport, said, “We are excited to welcome Akasa Air as our airline partner, marking a significant step forward as we progress towards airport opening. Noida International Airport’s inaugural phase includes a single runway and terminal, designed to accommodate an annual global passengers volume of 12 million. Upon reaching its fourth phase of development, the airport will be equipped to handle a staggering 70 million passengers annually.
