Odisha tourism festival starting from December 15

For boosting domestic tourism in Odisha, the state’s tourism festival is starting from December 15. The Odisha tourism department is hopeful about receiving more than 70% footfall this year, compared to the times before the pandemic.

The state tourism department has planned events for luring tourists from across the state and beyond. It has joined hands with Odisha by road campaign and Eco Retreat Odisha.

The festival is expected to improve domestic tourism and help in reviving the tourism sector after the pandemic. It also aims to attract tourists and private sector investment. The Odisha by Road campaign seeks to recover the domestic tourist movement between the neighboring states as well as boost road trips and tourism products of Odisha.

Eco Retreat Odisha will be hosting the glamping festival at Putsil Valley in Koraput’sSemiliguda block. Eco Retreat Odisha is a big scope for improving the tourism potential and tourist attractions of Odisha. The glamping festival is meant to explore the hidden beauty of Odisha for its tourists. This year, Eco Retreat features Konark, Satkosia, Bhitarkanika, Daringbadi, Hirakud, Pati-Sonapur and Koraput.

The festival offers local cuisines and experiences to travelers over three months. This year’s retreat will have jungle trails, water sports, boat rides, tours, adrenaline-pumping games along with exotic cuisines.

Recently, Odisha came to be known as the best state for most outstanding domestic destinations. Odisha’sMayurbhanj was also voted the ‘Best Offbeat Destination’ at India’s Best Awards 2021 by Travel+Leisure India.
