Oman is ready to welcome Chinese tourists

A workshop was organised by the Omani Ministry of Tourism which was aimed at introducing the Omani tourism to China’s market to attract Chinese tourists.

Omani Tourism Readiness to Receive Chinese Tourists was the title of the workshop that was held in Muscat in the presence of of Maitha Saif Al Mahrouqi, undersecretary for the Omani Ministry of Tourism, and Li Lingbing, China’s ambassador to Oman.

The workshop was attended by a number of companies and institutions of the Omani tourism sector.

The importance was Chinese market to Oman as one of the most important global markets was being stressed and targetted by the Omani tourism.

Li stated that the relations between Oman and China are distinguished and have further increased especially after the establishment of strategic partnership between the two countries last year.

Due to this there is an increase in the volume of cooperation between the two countries in fields like tourism, and doubled the number of Chinese tourists arriving in Oman during the first half of this year.
