I’ve spent countless days in this area, but I’m still mesmerised by the surroundings. How the weather plays the main role and the light changes throughout the day. I’m really looking forward to welcoming guests from near and far to experience this, says Marketing and Operations Manager Tove V. Bråthen.

Designing structures in resonance with the natural environment, Roald Bø of Holon Arkitektur, the mastermind behind Panoramahyttene, draws inspiration from the surrounding landscape, prioritizing panoramic views. The architectural approach facilitates a seamless integration with nature, ensuring minimal footprint and impact. Emphasizing the breathtaking scenery, each cabin features expansive windows oriented towards the sea, inviting inhabitants to immerse themselves in the beauty of their surroundings.

Comfort is the focal point here!

Despite boasting three cabins in total, the site’s placement atop a rocky outcrop imparts a profound sense of solitude. Named Hagbart, Helga, and Håkon, each cabin comes replete with a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom featuring a shower and toilet, a cozy fireplace, and plush beds. Accommodating up to four adults and one child, these cabins are meticulously furnished with comfort in mind, complemented by panoramic vistas visible from every corner.

This is a place to visit for relaxation and to enjoy the surroundings. The beds are therefore fully made up when you arrive, and of course we take care of the cleaning when you leave, Tove V. Bråthen adds.

A plethora of nearby experiences await!

Panoramahyttene at Sandhåland offers an ideal gateway to exploring the diverse offerings of the region, whether your interests lie in cultural immersion or communing with nature. Just a short drive from the cabins, you’ll discover pristine sandy beaches like Sandvesanden and Åkrasanden, both proudly bearing the Blue Flag eco-label. For those who prefer to wander on foot, the charming Sandhålandsanden beach is a hidden gem within walking distance. Additionally, the cabins are conveniently situated near the picturesque coastal town of Skudeneshavn. History enthusiasts will find Avaldsnes, home to the Nordvegen History Centre and The Viking Farm, a mere 25-minute drive away, where they can delve into the rich Viking heritage of the region.

Located just a 40-minute drive from Haugesund, and with Haugesund Airport Karmøy a mere half-hour away, accessibility is not an issue. From Stavanger, a scenic two-hour drive will lead you to the cabins, while the journey from Bergen takes approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes.
