The focal point of this visionary initiative is the development of Phuket Deep Sea Port at Ao Makham. The plan is to establish this port as a home base for small cruise ships, for cruise tourism market, a move that leverages Phuket’s unparalleled potential in attracting luxury cruise tourists. Upon arrival, the Senate delegation was warmly received by Phuket Vice Governor Norasak Suksomboon. The meeting, held at the Royal Thai Navy Third Area Command headquarters at Cape Panwa, was not just a ceremonial gathering but a crucial strategy session. Vice Admiral Suchat Thampitakwet, along with Phuket Marine Chief Natchapong Pranit and stakeholders from government and the private sector, engaged in comprehensive discussions to assess the port’s readiness to embrace the luxury cruise market.
