Phuket's Gardens

Indian high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) with a focus on sustainability no longer need to search globally for top-notch, eco-friendly luxury properties thanks to Phuket! This vibrant, culturally diverse destination, conveniently located just a few hours by flight from India and highly favored by an international audience, now welcomes the innovative green development project, Gardens of Eden, introduced by Dubai’s DPD Invest as their first venture in Thailand.

Managed by Amal Development, this cutting-edge eco-friendly living initiative represents a monumental investment of USD 315 million in Phuket, unfolding over five to six years. Occupying 73 rai and covering 122,000 square meters, this luxury wellness residential and hospitality community is capturing the attention and investments from global HNIs. Its distinctive approach of dedicating 70% of the space to verdant, active greenery while developing just 30% underscores its commitment to environmental stewardship.

Argentinian tropical design master Martin Palleros, mentored by design legend Kerry Hill, will lead the mega landmark project that will feature vertical gardens to further extend the biophilic experience, organic gardens, ponds, lakes, playgrounds, running and cycling tracks, Onsen bathing and reflexology areas. “Gardens of Eden will be the first project in Phuket, and one of very few projects in the world, to set this new development standard. It will be a fully immersive wellness lifestyle experience,” he says.

Eden Residences, the inaugural phase of our project, debuted in December 2023, offering 141 apartments crafted from sustainable materials like carbon-negative wood and locally sourced granite. Nearly all units from this phase have been sold. Prices for apartments in Eden Residences range from THB220,000 psm to THB260,000 psm (US$6,200 psm – US$7,300 psm), while Park Residences are priced between THB168,000 psm and THB230,000 psm (US$4,700 psm – US$6,500 psm).

Recently revealed, Phase II is set to conclude by mid-2027, designed exclusively for families seeking an enhanced level of green living. It introduces a new standard of well-being with expansive green spaces. The phase will include a 5,000 square-meter wellness center, a sprawling five-hectare park featuring fitness trails for walking, running, and biking, alongside numerous exercise stations. Additionally, two kids’ clubs and a small water park will be incorporated. The forthcoming Phase III of Gardens of Eden will unveil waterfront units known as Lake Residences, with further details to be announced in due course.

Upon completion, the residential complex will boast a range of amenities including dining options, an artisanal grocery market, a spa, a fitness center, and hospitality services.

“This is a significant project for Phuket and for Bangtao,” adds corporate affairs advisor Ravi Chandran. “Demand for quality living in a spacious natural environment in a prime location is extremely high as families relocate to the island from across the globe,” he adds.

The innovative team at Gardens of Eden is collaborating with globally recognized environmental specialists to minimize carbon emissions by meticulously crafting a sustainable natural ecosystem during development. This initiative will encompass expansive green areas like natural parks and forests, alongside wetland zones. Additionally, they are exploring sustainability practices such as utilizing stormwater treated naturally from the wetlands to create natural swimming pools.
