Quentin Welch: new executive chef, Bourbon Steak DC, four seasons Washington

The appointment of Chef Quentin Welch as the new Executive Chef of Bourbon Steak DC has been announced by the Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC in collaboration with MINA Group. Bourbon Steak, Chef Michael Mina’s homage to the American steakhouse, will be led by Welch at its flagship location.

Originally from Ohio, Chef Quentin Welch brings nearly a decade of experience with MINA Group to this new role. Prior to joining Bourbon Steak DC, she contributed to the restaurant group’s expansion, having been part of their task force for new projects. Welch kickstarted her culinary journey in her home state before pursuing advanced training at Le Cordon Bleu in Las Vegas. Her time in Vegas included work with the José Andrés Group, where she was involved in launching Jaleo and overseeing the chef’s table experience at é by José Andrés within the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Before her tenure with MINA Group starting in 2014, Welch honed her skills under the guidance of Chefs Thomas Keller and Jean-Georges Vongerichten at their respective Las Vegas establishments, Bouchon and Prime Steakhouse.

Marc Bromley, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC, expressed confidence in Welch’s suitability for the role, citing her extensive fine dining expertise and familiarity with the Bourbon Steak brand. He anticipates her ability to maintain the cherished experience that Bourbon Steak guests have cherished for the past 15 years while pushing the boundaries of what an exceptional steakhouse can offer.

Throughout her time with MINA Group, Welch ascended the ranks to the position of Corporate Sous Chef. She helmed kitchens at various locations such as Stripsteak Waikiki and Mina Brasserie before assuming the role of Executive Sous Chef at Bourbon Steak Nashville.

Excited about her new endeavor, Chef Quentin Welch expressed enthusiasm about joining the Bourbon Steak DC team and contributing to the future of this esteemed restaurant.
