RTX, recognised as the world’s largest aerospace and defense entity, is poised to unveil its latest innovations in commercial and defense technology at the upcoming Singapore Airshow, scheduled for February 19-24.

This event marks a pivotal moment for RTX as it underscores its dedication to addressing the burgeoning demands of both military and commercial aviation sectors within the Asia-Pacific region. Furthermore, the company is set to highlight its progress in aftermarket services and the advancements poised to redefine the future of air travel.

Boasting a significant presence in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific for nearly half a century, RTX stands as a major foreign employer in the aerospace and defense sector, with over 16,000 employees across 17 locations. Liping Xie, the Vice President of Government Relations in Asia-Pacific, has announced upcoming expansion plans in Singapore, reflecting the company’s unwavering commitment to its customers and partners within this strategically vital area for its growth.

RTX’s exhibit will feature cutting-edge electric and hybrid-electric propulsion systems, along with the comprehensive Connected Aviation Ecosystem solutions designed to enhance operational efficiency, sustainability, and the overall passenger experience. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage with demonstrations of the Next-Gen Commercial Cockpit Demonstrator.

On the defense front, RTX is set to showcase a broad spectrum of capabilities aimed at fulfilling the air warfare requirements and achieving a more integrated battlespace. The display will include models of the F100 and F135 engines, which are integral to the propulsion of F-15s, F-16s, and F-35s across the Asia Pacific. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the F-16’s inaugural flight, powered by the Pratt & Whitney F100 engine, RTX is also directing its focus towards the future with the F135 Engine Core Upgrade, promising to enhance performance for all F-35 operators starting in 2029.

With the Asia Pacific region positioned as the fastest-growing market in aviation, the demand for nearly 9,000 new aircraft over the next decade underscores the significance of RTX’s innovations. The company’s exhibits will be located at B-K39 and B-L39, where it will showcase its contributions towards shaping the future of flight and global security.
