Ryanair extends Joramco Maintenance agreement to 10 lines

Ryanair, Europe’s leading airline, announced today (February 11) an extension of its maintenance partnership with Joramco, the MRO provider based in Jordan and a subsidiary of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd. This extension entails Ryanair entrusting Joramco with 10 lines of heavy maintenance for the next decade at their MRO facility in Amman, Jordan. With Ryanair’s fleet set to surpass 800 aircraft by the end of the decade, this agreement grants the airline flexibility in allocating its aircraft for forthcoming winter maintenance seasons. The announcement follows Joramco’s successful completion of its 100th C check for Ryanair earlier this week.

Spanning 110,000 square meters, Joramco’s facility will accommodate the heavy maintenance needs of Ryanair’s expanding fleet, including the recent order of 300 Boeing 737 MAX-10 aircraft. This expansion will propel Ryanair’s capacity to carry over 300 million passengers annually by 2034. These next-generation, fuel-efficient aircraft offer 21% more seating capacity, consume 20% less fuel, and produce 50% less noise.

Ryanair employs a combination of internal facilities and external suppliers for its heavy maintenance operations. As part of its ongoing investment in internal maintenance capabilities, this agreement with Joramco complements Ryanair’s existing facilities, ensuring comprehensive maintenance support for the airline’s growing fleet in the years ahead.

Ryanair’s Chief Operations Officer, Neal McMahon, said:

Commenting on this agreement, Joramco’s Chief Executive Officer Fraser Currie, added:
