Air Serbia has reached a remarkable achievement with their August total of 616,479 passengers on scheduled and charter services for 2026 setting a new record. An increase of 10 percent from last year’s passenger numbers, combined with the 100+ international destinations Air Serbia serves, is a clear indication of the airline’s growing network and the region of Southeast Europe’s improvedconnectivity to other continents of Europe, the Mediterranean, North America, Asia and Africa.

Throughout August, Air Serbia operated 5,743 flights from its bases at Belgrade, Niš and Kraljevo, connecting travellers with more than 100 destinations across Europe, the Mediterranean region, North America, Asia and Africa. The strong summer performance highlights the continued expansion of the airline’s network and growing demand for its international connections.

“The record passenger numbers achieved in August further reinforce Air Serbia’s position as one of the fastest-growing airlines in the region. This milestone reflects the dedication of our employees, our continued focus on enhancing the passenger experience and the ongoing development of a strong route network that offers customers an ever-growing range of travel opportunities from Belgrade. During the first eight months of 2026, Air Serbia achieved its best-ever January–August performance, carrying 3,263,915 passengers across its scheduled and charter operations. The airline also recorded strong operational growth, completing 34,641 flights during the period, representing a 5% increase compared with the same timeframe in 2025.

The carrier’s improved performance was further supported by solid aircraft utilisation and passenger demand. In August 2026, Air Serbia recorded a passenger load factor of 83.6%, while the average load factor between January and August reached 77.1%, reflecting strong demand across its expanding network.

Air Serbia is set to further strengthen its connectivity in the remaining months of 2026 with the launch of new nonstop routes from Belgrade to Tenerife, Seville and Tromsø, along with new services connecting Niš with Vienna and Malta. The airline will also add more frequencies on routes to Montenegro to meet rising passenger demand.
