Tourism Malaysia Ho Chi Minh, in an enriching collaboration with Sabah Tourism Board and Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), is set to host a remarkable journey for Vietnamese media representatives and travel bloggers to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, from March 25 to 30, 2024.

The event, dubbed the ‘Feel Sabah’ Media Familiarisation Trip (FAM Trip), is poised to unveil the enchanting allure of Sabah through a meticulously curated six-day adventure that promises to be both enlightening and exhilarating.

The FAM Trip’s itinerary is designed to immerse participants in the vibrant heart of Sabah, showcasing a range of iconic destinations that highlight the state’s unparalleled beauty and cultural richness. From the opulent serenity of Gayana Marine Resort to the unspoiled beauty of Sepanggar Island, each location has been chosen to offer a glimpse into Sabah’s diverse ecosystems and heritage. The majestic Kiulu River, serene Our Land Eco Farm, and the breathtaking vistas of the Ranau highlands will provide breathtaking backdrops for stories and content.

Additionally, visits to the unique Desa Cattle Dairy Farm, the aromatic Sabah Tea Cottage, the vibrant Mari-Mari Cultural Village, and the enchanting Klias Wetlands in Beaufort will ensure that participants leave with a deep appreciation of Sabah’s cultural tapestry and biodiversity. This trip is not just about exploration but about forging deeper connections and understanding between Malaysia and Vietnam, highlighting Malaysia’s commitment to sustainable and culturally immersive travel experiences.

Madam Nor Hayati Zainuddin, Director of Tourism Malaysia in Vietnam, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Vietnamese media and influencers, emphasizing Sabah’s role in introducing Malaysia’s natural wonders and cultural diversity to the Vietnamese market. The initiative aims to bolster Vietnamese tourist arrivals, building on the momentum of over 1,600 visitors in 2023, and underscores Malaysia’s readiness to welcome more Vietnamese travelers in anticipation of Visit Malaysia 2026.

The ‘Feel Sabah’ FAM Trip represents a strategic endeavor to strengthen ties between Malaysia and Vietnam, showcasing Sabah as a premier destination for Vietnamese tourists seeking sustainable, nature-centric, and culturally rich travel experiences. Through this collaboration, Tourism Malaysia hopes to inspire an influx of Vietnamese visitors, further cementing Malaysia’s position as a favored destination in the region.
