In late 2023, Braeden Beckstrand embarked on a new chapter of his career with Visit Salt Lake (VSL) as the National Sales Manager. In this role, he focuses on securing meetings for groups ranging from 200 to 2,000 attendees from organizations located in Arizona, New Mexico, and the upper Midwest, contributing to the expansion of Salt Lake as a preferred convention venue.

“I’m confident Braeden will be a wonderful fit and great contributor to the Sales Team,” said Chief Sales & Experience Officer Mark White. “We’re excited to have him on our team as we strategically and sustainably increase visitation, both for leisure, convention & sports for Salt Lake County.”

Before joining VSL, Beckstrand dedicated six years to leading group sales at Hotel Monaco, where he specialized in the corporate, sports, and entertainment sectors. His career in sales management began at SpringHill Suites/Courtyard by Marriott in Lehi, Utah. Following the pandemic, he served as the sales account manager for Topgolf, managing up to 25 events daily. A native of Utah, Beckstrand holds a mass communications degree from the University of Utah and resides in Bluffdale with his wife and two children.

“I’m so excited about working with this team of professionals in Salt Lake,” said Beckstrand. “I look forward to building alliances and partnerships, building our brand while increasing the number of conventions & events we host.”

Visit Salt Lake, a private, nonprofit organization, spearheads the promotion of Salt Lake City as a key destination for conventions and leisure travel. Collaborating closely with Salt Lake County, the organization plays a pivotal role in bolstering the local economy by attracting conventions, sports events, leisure travelers, and visitors, with a profound commitment to environmental sustainability and stewardship.
