Samuel Porreca joins as general manager of Mandarin Oriental

Samuel Porreca  will join as general manager of Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como which will open in spring 2019.

The lakefront property will be Mandarin Oriental’s first European resort  and will be complementing the group’s hotel in nearby Milan.

Porecca holds more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry she started her career in Rome taking management roles.

Porecca had in 2012 launched JK Place Roma which could bag a string of awards under his leadership.

Porecca said that in recent years, Lake Como has become a premier destination for luxury travellers.

He was thrilled to be working with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group to create a magnificent property in one of Italy’s most exclusive destinations.

The hotel has a serene setting and located between the luxuriant botanical park and lake and exudes glamour and style.
