Jumeirah Group launches its first luxury hotel, Jumeirah Jabal Omar Makkah, in Saudi Arabia, near the Great Mosque, offering opulent amenities.
The prestigious Jumeirah Group, a luxury hotel company under Dubai Holding, is broadening its reach both regionally and globally with the launch of its premiere establishment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, named Jumeirah Jabal Omar Makkah. This inauguration marks a significant milestone in the development of the Jabal Omar project’s second phase, a venture that showcases the architectural genius of Fosters + Partners.
Situated in the Jabal Omar area, mere steps away from the revered Great Mosque of Makkah, this establishment prides itself on offering top-tier, opulent facilities. It features a total of 1,121 keys that encompass a mix of tastefully appointed rooms, suites, and residences, all designed to offer a haven of comfort and tranquility for its visitors. The ethos of Jumeirah Jabal Omar Makkah revolves around creating an environment of calm and contemplation, enhancing the spiritual journey of those visiting the sacred city of Makkah.
Currently, the hotel boasts eight culinary venues, including the Mediterranean-themed Patras restaurant and a lobby lounge that specializes in artisanal teas and bakery items. In the near future, patrons will be treated to an additional six dining experiences located within the East and West towers. These will include an exclusive Arabesque dining hall, along with venues offering Persian, Middle Eastern, Southeast Asian, and Indo-Pakistani cuisines, plus a café dedicated to premium teas and French pastries. Additionally, the hotel will feature three spaces for meetings and events, designed to accommodate groups ranging from 10 to 70 individuals.

Jumeirah’s venture into the Kingdom is characterized by its hallmark commitment to superior hospitality and meticulous service, aimed at elevating the guest experience to new heights. The hotel currently opens with 507 rooms and suites housed in two skyscrapers, offering breathtaking panoramas of the urban landscape and the Great Mosque of Makkah. An additional 526 accommodations will be introduced gradually in two more modern towers, ensuring easy access through fast elevators. For those seeking utmost privacy and exclusivity, there’s an option to reserve entire floors, each comprising 14 rooms and suites.
Enhancing its luxury portfolio, the hotel also features 88 deluxe residences spread across the base of the four towers of Jumeirah Jabal Omar Makkah. These exclusive living spaces come with expansive terraces, providing residents the unique opportunity to partake in communal prayers at the Great Mosque of Makkah without leaving their accommodations.
The newly appointed General Manager of Jumeirah Jabal Omar Makkah, Rizwan Shaikh, comes with a rich background of over two decades in the luxury hospitality sector. His extensive experience spans several countries, including India, Singapore, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with roles in establishments recognized with five-star ratings by the Forbes Travel Guide.
