The “Hello China” 2024 Silk Road China Japan Tourism Campaign is being introduced through a partnership between the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the China National Tourism Administration Tokyo Office. This dynamic initiative aims to acquaint a broader Japanese audience with the cultural wealth of Shaanxi, fostering enhanced exchange between Shaanxi and Japan while strengthening the bonds between the two nations.

The resumption of direct flights between Tokyo Narita and Xi’an International Airport, offering four round-trip flights weekly, facilitates convenient access for Japanese tourists eager to explore Shaanxi. Delving into the historical tapestry of Xi’an, the cradle of the Silk Road, visitors can marvel at globally renowned landmarks such as the Terracotta Army, the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, and the impeccably preserved Xi’an City Wall, which provides both breathtaking vistas and cycling opportunities along its ancient path.

Yet, Xi’an merely marks the beginning of Shaanxi’s wonders. Nearby Baoji beckons history aficionados with its trove of treasures, including the Baoji Bronze Ware Museum’s extensive collection of ancient Chinese bronzes and the Beishouling Ruins Museum, offering insights into the region’s distant past. For those seeking awe-inspiring natural beauty, the picturesque Guanshan Grassland promises a serene retreat.

To the south lies Hanzhong, where historical significance intertwines with natural splendor. Visitors can delve into the annals of time at the Hanzhong Museum or explore the breathtaking mountain landscapes of the Hanzhong Tiantai National Forest Park.

Shaanxi province extends a warm invitation to Japanese travelers, inviting them to embark on a journey of discovery. From the iconic marvels of Xi’an to the hidden treasures of Baoji and Hanzhong, this historically rich region offers an enthralling experience along the ancient Silk Road, leaving indelible memories and fostering a deeper appreciation for Shaanxi’s vibrant culture.
