Singapore Changi Airport and Agoda ranked top destinations

Singapore Changi Airport and Agoda, ranked the riverine town as 2023’s top travel destination, the SIBU folks have every ground to be thrilled. Sibu, well-known for the Rajang River which is the longest river in the country, for the first time has been recommended in the international travel bucket list.

The vice-chairman, Sarawak Central Region Hotel Association, Lang Jai Lee, said that this award works a major boost for the tourism and economy of Sibu.

He also said that this commendation is excellent for Sibu as travelers now will be aware that this is one of the most reasonably priced places to come to in regard to food and accommodation.

For more than 30 years, Lang who has been associated with the hotel industry stated that visitor spending will be improved for the tourism and economy of the town.

He also added that their food is budget-friendly compared to Miri and Kuching. For Singaporeans, for a plate of kampua mee, they require to expend only about S$1. It is less than S$60 a night, for hotels.

Lang also mentioned that Sibu is all prepared like no other rimes to welcome visitor influx as there are plenty of hotel rooms and interesting places to explore.

He recommended that Sibu is kind of a doorway to towns and districts in Sarawak. After living for many days here, visitors can drive to Kanowit with no trouble.
