SITE Türkiye Hosts Successful Global Conference in Istanbul

The conclusion of the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) Global Conference was marked yesterday, following numerous engaging days filled with networking, educational sessions, immersive experiences in Istanbul, Türkiye.

This annual cornerstone event of SITE attracted close to 500 professionals in incentive travel to Istanbul, fostering connections, learning opportunities, and discussions on emerging trends pertinent to the industry.

Innovative session formats introduced this year included a destination pitch competition, a captivating destination video showcase, and an interactive breakout session focusing on evolving workplace dynamics and demographic shifts.

“I’m so eager about the continued growth and development SITE brings, not only to our community but to the incentive travel industry and to the business world at large,” commented SITE CEO Annette Gregg. “Global Conference is one of SITE’s biggest activations each year and there have been so many special memories and connections made here in Istanbul these past several days. It’s truly a gathering we will never forget!”

Distinguished keynote speakers enriched this year’s conference, featuring an empowering talk by Turkish entrepreneur Gamze Cizreli on Tuesday, and a Wednesday address from Claus Raasted, founder of the College of Extraordinary Experiences, offering insights into experiential design.

The memorable Crystal Awards ceremony, hosted at the Çırağan Palace Kempinski, and tailored destination immersion experiences added to the highlights, providing delegates with firsthand encounters of Istanbul’s vibrant attractions.

“Our destination shines as one where East meets West catering perfectly to all incentive travel qualifers,” said SITE International Board of Directors and local host committee member Hasan Dinc. “It has been a dream to welcome our industry colleagues to our city, and to treat them to such a fantastic conference with Turkish hospitality on full display.”

The onsite activities concluded with the exciting revelation of the 2025 SITE Global Conference destination: Tulum, Mexico. Save the date for next year’s gathering from March 3rd to 6th.
