Sofitel Mumbai BKC: India’s first hotel awarded Green Key Certification

Sofitel Mumbai BKC is thrilled to announce its prestigious Green Key Certification, bestowed by the National Jury Green Key India and the Center for Environment Education (CEE). As the inaugural recipient of this certification in the country, the hotel proudly stands at the forefront of environmental responsibility and sustainable practices within the tourism industry.

Introduced in India in 2023, Green Key serves as the foremost standard for excellence in environmentally conscious and sustainable operations in the hospitality sector. The implementation of the Green Key certificate in India is overseen by the Centre for Environment Education (CEE) Ahmedabad, a full member of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). Green Key India, initiated by CEE Ahmedabad, is dedicated to promoting sustainable practices.
