The well-known sacred site of Baridhar in Himachal Pradesh would soon be transformed into as a tourist spot. The Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Sanjay Awasthy, stated this recently who was inaugurating Van Mahotsav program and talking to people at Saryanj gram panchayat about the same.
To develop Baridhar as an important religious pilgrimage centre, a master plan has been devised where a ropeway from Svava village to Baridhar will be constructed. A comprehensive project report about this ropeway was prepared, informed Awasthy.
On building up a ropeway and developing other facilities, a total amount of Rs 200 crore would be invested. For this project, a site measuring 103 bighas has been identified as well.
The area has huge possibility in terms of tourism development which can unlock opportunities for generating employment, said stated the CPS. He requested the people to help for developing the area.
Awasthy also mentioned that in Akri, developing improved health facilities was his priority. At civil hospital at Arki, seven experts have been appointed to offer health services.
He guaranteed people that money would not be any kind of a restriction for expanding the Arki Assembly segment.
A sapling of deodar was planted and the 74th Van Mahotsav was kick-started by him.
