Southwest’s surprise pup rally: Furry Fest touches down at LAS!

Southwest Airlines, in collaboration with Animal Planet, celebrated the Puppy Bowl, a beloved event, at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY). Flight #2353 departed from MSY and landed at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas, where Southwest hosted a Surprise & Delight Pup Rally for local Employees and Customers. Prior to boarding the aircraft through a Puppy Bowl-themed jet bridge, Customers enjoyed Puppy Bowl trivia in the gate area and had a special visit from puppies from Take Paws Rescue. As a memento of the PAWsome flight, Customers, Employees, and the Flight Crew received Puppy Bowl beanies.

This season, Southwest proudly transported a V-I-Pup named Beignet to participate in Puppy Bowl XX. Beignet, a cute Dachshund Mix representing Take Paws Rescue in New Orleans, was adopted from the organization and now lives with his fur-ever family.

Southwest Customers can enjoy a dog-gone good time by tuning in to the Puppy Bowl On Demand TV series on the Southwest Inflight Entertainment Portal.

The series showcases beloved Puppy Bowl classics like “Puppy Bowl XIX,” “Puppy Bowl Presents: Dog Bowl All Stars,” and “Journey to Puppy Bowl,” offering a glimpse into the journey of puppies as they prepare to participate in the Puppy Bowl.

Passengers have the opportunity to tune into the other Big Game via Southwest’s onboard live TV on CBS through the Southwest Inflight Entertainment Portal.
