In 2023, the Jordan Hotel Association is preparing to greet open-handedly a projected total of 230,000 medical tourists, more than 100 per cent rise from last year. Because of this increase, travel agents expert in medical tourism are requesting the stakeholders to make a combined application that will permit for flawless coordination from different parties.

A medical tourism agent with the name Tariq, is redirecting all his travel packages and reservations to the neighboring countries because of the challenges experienced in Jordan.

Both Tariq as well as his clients are disturbed due to waiting for long times at the borders, zero assistance, expensive procedures and the lack of a single department taking care of medical tourism.

Tariq said that in the region, Jordan has some of the best medical facilities and staff members and simplifying procedures and helping the travel agents can profit both patients as well as the economy.

Tariq also mentioned that to grow the medical tourism quickly, first at the airports, there must be special lanes and presence of a medical doctor who can understand each case effectively.

Tariq also said that patients appreciate the significance of security checks and safety at the airports. However, when they arrive they are sick, tired and generally carrying medications and medical equipment.
