Sustainable tourism front and center at Madhya Pradesh roadshow in Stockholm

The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) successfully hosted a roadshow on 13th March in Stockholm, Sweden, to highlight the rich variety of travel experiences available in the state for esteemed members of the Swedish travel and tourism industry.

Under the leadership of Mr. Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary of Tourism & Culture, Government of Madhya Pradesh, and Managing Director of MPTB, and Mr. Yuvraj Padole, Deputy Director for Events, Marketing & Films at MPTB, the event took place at the Hilton Stockholm. It offered a unique opportunity for MPTB and its partners to network with key Swedish travel agents, tour operators, media, filmmakers, and industry specialists. The roadshow focused on presenting the cultural, architectural, natural, and adventure highlights of Madhya Pradesh, receiving enthusiastic feedback from participants.

A key moment was the participation of the Indian Ambassador to Stockholm, His Excellency Mr. Tanmaya Lal, who underscored the goal of strengthening tourism relations between India and Sweden.

The event featured interactive discussions, engaging presentations, and opportunities for networking, providing participants with a direct look into the unique attractions and activities that Madhya Pradesh offers.

MPTB showcased signature attractions such as the Khajuraho temples, Sanchi Stupa, Bhimbetka rock shelters, and wildlife reserves like Bandhavgarh and Kanha, drawing attention to the state’s historical significance and natural splendor.

The roadshow also facilitated constructive B2B meetings between MPTB officials and prominent members of the Swedish travel sector, setting the stage for future partnerships and customized travel packages designed for Swedish tourists. MPTB reaffirmed its dedication to sustainable tourism, highlighting its efforts towards responsible travel, community involvement, and preserving the natural and cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh.
