Angola’s national carrier, TAAG Angola Airlines, has officially opened ticket sales for a brand-new direct service between Luanda and Abidjan, marking the first time in over 20 years that the two cities will be connected by a nonstop flight. Passengers traveling between Angola and Côte d’Ivoire have been forced to make layovers in third-country hubs for over 20 years. Luanda–Abidjan flights will operate three times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, using an Airbus A220-300. For the return journey, flights will leave Abidjan at 15:05, and will arrive in Luanda at 19:50 (local time).
