Tamil Nadu Tourism, in partnership with Global Media Box, is thrilled to announce the eagerly awaited 9th installment of the Tamil Nadu International Balloon Festival (TNIBF) in the captivating town of Pollachi. Recognized as a pivotal event on the tourism calendar, TNIBF has transformed into a premier destination tourism spectacle and proudly stands as India’s sole annual balloon festival.
Taking place from January 12th to 16th, 2024, the 9th edition promises an international flair with more than 10 balloons gracing the skies, representing countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, Spain, Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam. The carnival will illuminate the skies daily from 2 pm to 10 pm, providing an immersive experience for attendees of all age groups.
Aviators from across the globe are assembling in Pollachi to navigate these balloons. Throughout this 5-day festival, hot air balloons from various countries will take flight, showcasing a diverse array of shapes and colors. We express gratitude to the Tamil Nadu tourism department for its continuous support, year after year, in establishing a calendar event for the advancement of destination tourism,” stated Benedict Savio, Founder of TNIBF and Event Director at Global Media Box.
As TNIBF commemorates its 9th anniversary, visitors can look forward to a myriad of new attractions. The festival grounds will host a range of activities, including a 100+ Shopping Expo, engaging Kids Games, a thrilling Balloon Run Marathon, Tethered Balloon Rides, and captivating Special Shape Balloons designed to enchant the hearts of children. Helicopter Rides, Musical Concerts, and more will contribute to making TNIBF the quintessential family carnival for the Pongal Holidays in South India.
A notable feature of the festival is the Balloon Run scheduled for January 14th, 2024. Winners will be treated to an exclusive Hot Air Balloon Ride during the festival, adding an extra layer of excitement. All participants will receive medals and certificates as tokens of appreciation.
Special Shape Balloons, featuring whimsical designs like Twin Frogs, Eli the Elephant, and Duck-shaped balloons, are poised to mesmerize and delight children and families alike.
The 9th Edition of the Tamil Nadu International Balloon Festival (TNIBF), organized by Global Media Box with the support of the Department of Tourism Tamil Nadu, is set to take place from January 12th to 16th, 2024, at Pollachi, Coimbatore Dist., Tamil Nadu.
