Three passengers enter the secured area of the Dusseldorf Airport terminal without required security check disrupting thousands of passengers leading to evacuation.
The unchecked individuals went through an alarm-protected door into a secure area at 7am local time all the departing passengers including those who boarded the flights were asked to leave the terminals and undergo new security check.
The Dusseldorf’s terminals were open again after a police search, two of the individuals were found and the police were looking for the third.
Around 6,000 passengers were affected by the incident and the travellers might face delays in flight.
Services to Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna were cancelled along with a number of other flights.
Germany’s busiest air hubs is Dusseldorf Airport, around 634 flights have been scheduled and around 75,000 passengers were expected to board flights from here.
The secured area of the airport were cleared by the airport authorities and the passengers has to go through the security check again.
Infact the passengers who already sat down on the aircraft seat was asked to re-pass the check.
