This week, the first assembly of the Cabinet of the new government will talk about the foretold surge in
assignment for authorities as they arrange to initiate a planned visa-free rule for Chinese tourists.

The rule is regarded as an important step for boosting Thailand’s tourism segment, and is predictable to produce immense profits, as stated by the Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin.

The PM has steadily listed tourism as a dynamic driver of financial development.

One of his early activities as the leader comprised a tour of Phuket for acquiring first-hand information about the tourism state of affairs.

With the visa-free rule expected to come into effect on October 1, foremost tourist places are preparing for a flood in Chinese tourists.

The tourism segment has responded positively to the rule to increase influxes of Chinese travellers, who
comprise an important section of global callers.

The planned visa-free rule for Chinese travellers, anticipated to last till the end of the peak tourist period
in the first part of 2024, is a temporary approach to inspire the tourism segment, which has been intensely impacted by the pandemic.
